I don't think there is a user.cfg command for energy, else someone would have found it a long time ago. I don't know though, just guessing.
I mentioned before about utilizing the BRIGHT command for all objects - what would be better was if it was just activated for specific objects - like lucky coins, and the various levers and buttons. I accidentally saved an FM with BRIGHT 1 on and played it in the game, and it is pretty ugly with everything garishly bright.
The 'no physics' mode - you are going to implement it at the same time as 'fly mode' aren't you ? Otherwise people will just instantly fall through the floor into oblivion.
Did you play the new FM WICKED RELICS by Kfort ? He had a special Blackjack in that that made you invisible ! It would be cool if you could include a weapon that makes you invisible if a straightforward 'invisible mode' is not possible ?
Objectives Related -
- An option to make hidden objectives visible
- An option to complete an objective
- An option to specifically deactivate 'Fail On See' objectives

EDIT: Implemented a quick change of plyrSpeed ;-) Normal player speed boosted from .1f to .2f (as if you drank a Speed Potion).
Wait...are you implying the speed value is naturally under 1.0f? Eh?
Also, would it be feasible to create a command hook that would allow you to apply an editable (probably via ini) speed boost? That would make things very, very interesting. With a constant slowfall on and say...the effects of a triple-shot of speed potion, you could pull off some amazing feats. LotP would be almost trivially easy, and provide stupid fun.
OOH! Is it possible to implement a command that disables the "no hitting the ground" rule on LotP? That would be most interesting.

How about an option to extend the FROB radius ?
When you are being pursued by guards it would be cool to be able to open a door way before you get there. Or for reaching those out of reach levers that people put on the other site of portcullis doors.
Can you emulate Garrett's jump from T1 in T2 ? In T1 Garrett's jump whilst running was fantastic and allowed you to build up a good lead on pursuers. In T2 Looking Glass crippled him.

No, they fixed a bug.
What is this for? It doesn't seem like this is anything to actually improve the game, it's just a bunch of silly cheats. FPS territory.

isn't this more of an editor type thread ?
SunBeam on 14/7/2009 at 18:00
@New Horizon: I never said otherwise anywhere in the thread. Interpretations.. Most ignorant people treat everything as cheats, be it a trainer or a typed password. Little do they know of the effort involved to create one such thing..

It seems you are talking about the bunnyhopping? Is it possible to fix this in thief 1 / gold? Cos i find myself ever so tempted to do it sometimes and it kind of spoils the game. I know it is more a personal discipline thing but it would be nice if I could somehow stop it.
SunBeam on 14/7/2009 at 19:34
^ Oooh. Interesting. Mind detailing a bit how you perform it? Like with jumping and crouching at the same time or..?
inselaffe on 14/7/2009 at 20:23
Oh bunnyhopping is just when you jump just as you land repeatedly and build up tremendous speed doing it - even without it you are faster than guards but with it... well :erg:
Another thing, would it be possible to make a thief 3 frob highlight in the style of thief 1 / 2 using something like you are doing? As I recall one could not be made as the brightness of an object was not accessible or something and so could not be made fullbright. Probably not? but i can but hope.

We are talking about two different engines here. Dark Engine and Unreal Engine (T3)..
