Hi! I'm new to this site, so i'm very sorry if this is the wrong forum to post to for this :erm: but i'm also new to Thief fan missions and when I put Thief Gold into the Thief 1 directory on the setup for DarkLoader it says it cannot find Thief.exe. I then found Thief.exe in the backup folder of Thief Gold, but then it says it cannot find install.cfg. I found that file where Thief Gold is, which is what I first inputted into the Thief 1 directory. I have no idea what to do :( so If anyone knows a possible solution, please let me know! Thank you! :D

Where is your Thief Gold folder installed? It should be as simple a path as possible such as c:/games:/Thief Gold or even just c:/Thief Gold
If you have downloaded from steam it will be a more complicated path and needs to moved to a non protected folder otherwise you will not be able to patch with mods see (

Check your Thief Gold folder and make sure you can see both Thief.exe and install.cfg, if they are there, using the set up in darkloader, click on the box to the right of the Thief 1 directory and follow the same path to find your Thief Gold folder (note: inside you main Thief Gold folder there is another folder called Thief Gold....you do NOT want to point darkloader to this second folder, only highlight the main folder) then click on OK
The alternative is to use FMsel, this is a newer FMloader and comes pre-installed with Newdark. Have you patched with the latest (

remove the ';' from before fm on the second line so it looks like

then save, now when you run Thief Gold, FMsel will load up. You will need to direct FMsel to your TG and FMs locations but it is a bit trickier to set up than darkloader so you may wish to check out this thread on (

http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=134733) TFix patch for T1/TG, you should. It will eliminate a lot of problems and it's easy to use. Be sure to read and follow the instructions in the first post.
If you already used TFix, then do as fortuni says and use FM Sel.
