vecuccio, try turning off the Windows Firewall and then running the installation program from a command line - go to Start-Run, and type "cmd" (with the quotes) in the pop-up box. Then navigate to the Doom 3 directory you put the Dark Mod installer program in, and then type the name of the installer - tdm_update.exe.
It should now work, but if not, the error message will display on the screen and not disappear, so you can tell us exactly what it says.

Sorry it took so long for me to get round to USB-ing the files across, and THANKYOU EVERYONE FOR ALL YOUR SUGGESTIONS.
Darkmod works perfectly now thanks to copying the DARKMOD folder from my laptop to my Desktop PC.
If anyone knows anything about the T2 Widescreen patch refusing to start in 16:9 and defaulting to 4:3 (albeit in the correct resolution, just not widescreen) then maybe you can help me out ?

I don't know why it wouldn't install the normal way. It seemed that the DOS Window (or whatever it is called these days) opened and then immediately closed. I only managed to get a vague impression of the error messages by constantly reopening the DOS Window. Maybe it was the 32bit installer ?? I just downloaded the file from thedarkmod.com without looking if there were more than one version ?
Thanks. But what do I do with the 64bit Dark Radiant after I have installed it ??
It seems to be the level designer (?), or does it offer other benefits to 'Doom64' ?

1FPS and graphics seems bugged. 32b/64b tryed both= same problem.
And no it isn't a problem with my PC. I'm
far above the minimum requirements.

must be a graphics card drivers issue then. Try a different set, either newer or older, with maybe 6 months difference to be sure it will make a difference
