See if it`d been called "Dawn of War - Rise of the Tyranids" I`d have been like hell yeah :p.

I'm not sure I follow you. They're moving away from yawnfest resource collection and moving into purely tactical gameplay, using the scenery to your advantage, making the best of what you have etc. Whats not to like?

That actually sounds pretty decent, depending on how the squads will be selected of course.

I think it was the mention of the gameplay being changed to being small squad skirmishes based which WH40K isnt about at all

Have you ever played DoW? What part of strategic point skirmishes was a yawnfest? If anything, tactical games are the yawnfest in your equation.
DoW2 sounds like DOTA in space, which is simply stupid. I can choke on +7 Plate Mail of Destruction in any fantasy environment, but in sci-fi it's just downright retarded, and doubly so in 40k.

Just because it's called 'artificer-crafted armour' rather than '+7 mail' doesn't change what it is. I'm not sure what DOTA stands for so I can't comment on that, but this seems to point to the force structure being more like Ground Control than DoW1.

I'm a big fag for WH40K's universe, but I don't like RTS. :( Squad-based tactical strategy is another thing entirely.

Pull your head out of ZB's ass please. DoW is a yawnfest after you have seen all the unit types and the missions become variations of "go here kill everything". A proper
tactical game forces you to make do with what you have instead of waiting til you cap enough points or ore or w/e so you can just roll a maxed out army and tank rush etc.
I don't know if what they have planned will work but I'm at least willing to give it a fair chance.

Which 40k have you been playing? If anything this brings DoW more in line with the table top.
