The hatchet is a really good weapon, i brought the apocalypse to the zombies with one yesterday. :)
I'm really happy about the changes, there are a few glitches in the new AI but i haven't had any problems surviving them even though i went melee on their asses.
The game now gives you a reason to use your rifle, smoke grenades and flares in a different and mor active way than before, i think it's great. :) For me, the game has never been more fun. :)

I let my friend have a go with my character, which I had at Novy Sobor, and that I'd been doing really well with. He came around and really wanted to try Day Z, a lot, and I owe him big time for the pc I have, so I couldn't say no.
Within 30 seconds he had run to a village and aggroed everything. Another 30 seconds and all my ammo was gone. A minute later he was dead.

I don't know which one you were, but here's a fun tip for taking down a helicopter if you have a clean shot: The tail rotor is the weak spot. A few well place hits and it will lose control.

I'm too used to facing Russian aircraft so I loaded up the editor with a flying Huey and it is a lot tougher. Aiming for the tail rotor seems to be the best bet if you can't get a good hit on the pilot. It doesn't work too well with a sniper rifle, though.

OK, I promised I wouldn't watch any more DayZ series, but now I have to watch the rest of this one. Especially to find out how you folks seem to have the run of the place, doing gillie suit raids on castles etc.

Any TTLG folks still playing this? Watched some youtube vids and this looks pretty fun. Not sure if I have much interest in Arma 2 (is it any good on it's own?), but I'd make the buy for some zombie fun.
