Speaking of...i've been crawling around some zombie infested docks since yesterday with a blinking red blood icon and monochrome vision. At this point i probably would shoot someone just to get my hands on some painkillers. :P I have some decent gear for the first time and i don't want to lose it by dying hehe.

Your only way out of that Ahris is to find a bloodpack. What's your current blood level?

Yeah, I looked that up that up later :) But i also had a broken leg and was shaking hehe. Eventually i passed out every few minutes until i passed out in a small shed and was eaten alive. :)
But you learn something new every time that happens.
Don't swim btw, you'll end up losing your backpack. :P

Hmmm sounds pretty awesome and I'd join in, but a) I dont have ARMA2, b) I already have too many in-progress / to-play games I am not playing c) I am already skimping on my job hours this month and dont need more distractions.
But if any of you record some "LPs" or cool moments I'd love to watch that (either mute, or with bonus Mr. Duck behind-the-scenes commentary :D )

I do have Arma2 and have felt bad about barely playing it past the opening level. Think I'll have to check this out. I'm guessing Combined Forces is DLC I can get (hopefully quite cheap)? Also, if I buy DLC through Steam, will it work with a non-Steam game?

Does the mod have any explosives? I'm wondering if you could set a charge, then make a fire next to it to attract the undead. Someone's gotta try it.

Combined Operations is ArmA 2 vanilla + expand-alone Operation Arrowhead running together. I.e. the vanilla content is running through the updated OA engine.
Nothing else is needed. The premium PMC DLC is recommended for Day Z, but it's not needed. Low res assets (free "Lite" versions) of the two DLCs were patched into base OA, for compatibility with servers utilising the DLC assets.
But to answer your question, yes, DLC bought through Steam will work any version and vice versa. BUT the Steam shop won't let you PURCHASE the DLCs through them unless you already own the Steam release of OA (the base game). That's how DLC works on the Steamworks platform.

Hmmmm....I have ArmA II.
If we can get a TTLG posse going, I'm in. What say ye, guys? :)
Steam ID is Wuigi69 for those who don't have me on it, Unf!

Man, if I had the thirty bucks to spare I'd have been all over this. It was actually on sale on Steam a while back; if I'd known about this mod then I'd have bought it. Now it's too late. :(
