DDFX and Dual Core patches - where can I find them?

Hi, I'm brand new here with a noob question:

I'm trying to run Thief Gold on Windows 7. I followed the instructions here in the FAQ but it doesn't work - the "Eidos" screen freezes but I can hear the game playing in the background. I looked at the Windows 7 postings and it said I also need a ddfx and dual core patch. Where can I download these? It's not in the FAQ. I really want to play this game again...played it with my dad when it first came out. He's gone now but the game brings back good memories.

Well, a quick search for ddfix would have given you the thread you need, but what you really want is (http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=131106) tafferpatcher, which fixes your problems plus some others as well.
