The first game never really captured my interest. The sequel would have to be a major improvement for me to buy it.
BTW, the first game is getting a Wii release very soon.

I'll be the first to admit that it's a Marmite game.
I loved the first game to bits, but it took a while for it to "Click".
It's a very unforgiving game, with the most unintuitive save system ever, but persistence pays off, and it opens out in to a really rewarding game that's incredibly deep.
It's also one of the few 360 games that does achievements right, rewarding the player for interesting play with both achievement points and in-game items.
Besides which, watching Frank bumble through otherwise serious cutscenes whilst wearing a horse head and kid's gym kit never ceases to raise a giggle.

Dead Rising is one of the very few essential 360 games. I hope they keep the save system as-is: so long as you play carefully, you never lose more than a half-hour or so, and it really keeps the tension high.

They won't, if Chop 'Til You Drop is any indication.

The words "for PC" are music to my ears.

I wouldn't be surprised if the mouse+kb controls sucked, you may need a 360 gamepad.

Screenshots are showing a man who clearly is not Frank West.
My interest level suddenly dropped to almost zero.

I don't know, aren't Capcom supposed to be getting better about that sort of thing?
... wait, AND PC?
Awesome.
Will they finally port the original over just for the extra sales?
And Aja hates it on sight! BONUS!

Why a 360 gamepad specifically? My gamepad is awesome and has never failed to work with any game, including Capcom's DMC4.
