Dead Space is actually a recent "middlecore" game that I've played.
I will sum up the game as a test of the ability to turn around and aim. It's decent, good for 1 playthrough. Call it a rental.

Mouse aiming, duh.

same with statis, on lower difficulty levels it's nice to have, on impossible it's essential and I constantly ran low, just like it should be in a survival horror game
This +100. Stasis was absolutely essential on Hard.

Turret: Good aiming? Don't fire too much? If one gets past and you can't hit it don't sweat it but shoot the ones you can hit? I did fail at it once on impossible and scraped through second time, on hard I don't think I went below 80% integrity.
Or the other zero g/ atmosphere asteroid sequence: hide behind the protrusions as you run across the surface and use a O2 cylinder if needed?

Very excited for the sequel.
2nded.
Maybe they can expand more on the story, make it more original, hopefully add new and interesting boss battles.

Congratulations, you're a robot. Doesn't make the asteroid sequence any less irritatingly difficult.

While one hates to restate obvious truths, it just means that once again me > you, lol rofl.

Just out of curiosity (And I'm too lazy to browse 40+ pages) did anyone using keyboard & mouse have trouble with the asteroid bits or is it only the console people who found it difficult?
Volitions Advocate on 13/12/2009 at 09:19
tbh I didn't find the asteroid parts tough, I think even on impossible I only died once during the first one and once during the turret bossfight.
The finalboss on impossible was irritating though. VERY IRRITATING
and as for expanding on the story. the Wii lightgun game did it a little bit, but nothing really noteworthy. Still it was a solid rental:

Yeah, this one. The spacewalk was easy.
I've tried all of this. It must be due to the mouse lag throwing my aim off, but I keep feeling like saying that is a cop-out...did you have any lag when you played?
