I've played the PS3 demos for Dead Space and the sequel, and the games simply don't click for me. I like the cheesy Event Horizon-y atmosphere and I've heard so many good things about the game, but when it comes to actual gameplay I simply don't seem to get much enjoyment out of it. I keep thinking I should give the first game a chance now that it's available at a low price.

I'm not looking for the ultra limited edition thats 150 bucks, I dont need a replica of the plasma cutter, its sold out anyway. All I want is the artbook and soundtrack.
Oh right, I wasn't even aware that there was another LE besides the one with the replica Plasma Cutter (not counting the PS3 exclusive one which has the HD port of Extraction). My apologies.

That might be because DS1 is only worthwhile on Hard difficulty or higher.

Easy, Medium, Hard, Impossible, or as I would call them; Easiest, Easier, Easy, Not as Easy.
I hope very much DS2 will not suck, I have been excited about it for many months now. The reviews will say it all.

Early peeks are getting it good reviews. I think Kotaku played the first few hours of it and praised it highly. The trailer (with Smashing Pumpkins soundtrack!) gives the impression of an interesting plot progression.

I hope, and yet seriously doubt, that they'll add the option of a first-person perspective, and/or the option of centring the third-person camera.

Found the Collectors edition for PC. It hasn't always been up there. Interesting thing though, the PS3 version comes with a ported version of DS: Extraction for PSMove. That's pretty cool. Wish you could mix and match though.. I'd buy the PC version, and ditch the Plasma Cutter toy for the PS version of Extraction.
I don't have move yet, but i'm sure my wife will want it at some point. Kind of makes me happy I never went out and bought extraction for the wii.

Yes! I am really fired up now. I predict that it will surpass the first game.

Thought you were an old pro at it already? You have recommended it to me and everything. Did you play on 360 or something?
BTW, this sale has inspired me to purchase it for the 3rd time, this one on steam. I should replay it to the actual end of the game, not just the end of my patience.
