I wonder how can the Ishimura withstand asteroids, our ship and the USG Valor (which is a pretty big ship) crashing into it without just going all blooey. True, true....science-FICTION, but still...
In any case, still loving this game and already saw those freaking ultra-fast necromorphs, haven't fought one yet, brrrr....4 more episodes to go, rar!!! :)
Plus, the battle with that BIG necromorph hanging onto the bay doors at the comm section was -fun-!
So far, v. few boss battles, but they sure have been varied and considerably ingenious in execution, huzzah!

I'm not:
Dr. Zefram Cochrane: I've gotta take a leak.
Lieutenant Commander Geordi La Forge: Leak? I'm not detecting any leak.
Dr. Zefram Cochrane: Don't you people from the 24th century ever pee?

bridge, when I could hear all of the things slamming into the hull, I wondered the same thing.

"Inspired by"? How?
To me at least, it seems like they have taken the rusty diving suit asthetic and glowing face of the Big Daddies as a starting point for the suit.
Anyway, up to chapter 5 now and still enjoying myself alot. The story has picked up a bit,
I am quite interested in what's going to happen to that engineer dude and the mystery around this woman that my character is searching for , and I've seen some great sights and had some tense battles (
the quick battle with tentacle beast that grabs your leg is a great use of the TPP ).

This game has the gameplay I wished for in the bioshock world.

Also, I like how each boss, so far, has been a unique and fun battle.
Cheers for this game.

Well, a friend let me borrow the game so I can play it while I wait for mine to come in.
Very nice gameplay, the problem is the controls. The mouse sensitivity seems to change on the fly- sometimes it's sensitive, sometimes it isn't at all. Would using a controller alleviate this?
Edit: Hey! I got it! I tried turning VSync on in-game, but then I got the lag and my FPS dropped like a rock. But then I disabled VSync, quit the game, and forced VSync using NTune- and now, I have vertical sync at a constant 75FPS, no mouse lag, and the sensitivity is both constant and much higher than it was before!
Volition- I think this might be what Fraps did that fixed your sensitivity issue- doesn't it only record whole frames?
Give it a try, see what happens.
Judging by what fraps is showing, apparently there's a FPS limiter with in-game vsync - I got 30 fps, everytime, everywhere. Your method boosted the framerate up to the LCD's refresh rate (60) :)

That's exactly what I was thinking too. Initially I was excited about a real spiritual successor to SS2 but after playing the demo and watching the ending trailer I was definitely warming up to the idea of a much more action orientated game. However Bioshock did not deliver on that for me but Dead Space certainly is!

Seems like the general consensus is that TTLG likes it. I'll try and pick it up if I ever get a PSU and my 8800 works.

GOTY together with Fable II and GTA IV.
