I hope they release some mod tools. that would rock.
Hell would've had to have frozen over for such an announcement to occur.

Just sell the ammo you don't need and buy a pack for another weapon, or whatever you want ... like power nodes or something. This is pretty much what shops are for.
I started doing that eventually, but it still means you are running shorter on ammo than you would be if the ammo you wanted dropped on its own.

That's why you upgrade your weapons so you get more bang for your buck.
Though the prices you pay for ammo are criminal.

I just realized something. The only secondary fire I ever used the entire game was on the plasma cutter. Anybody else ever find the alt fire useful?

Flamethrower was pretty useful.

Apparently the alt fire on the rifle is pretty good too, although I haven't tried it myself yet.

One thing that really pissed me off is that the dead bodies respawn. Like the lobby to the common area where you hear the lullaby playing.
I stomped all the bodies there the first time I got there and they did stay maimed throughout the whole chapter. In the lobby in chapter 12 they did respawn though when I got there the second time, so I don't know. I loaded a savegame there once, so maybe they respawn if you quit and load a saved game?

I actually forgot to ever use it, the melee attack seemed like the panic move easy enough to give you room.

On the elevator on the way back from the array chamber I was ambushed by a necro and was out of ammo for my primary weapons.
I ended up pushing him in a corner and beating him to death. Brutal shit.

How on earth did EA think releasing a game in this state was acceptable..? EA management have forced the game out in time for Xmas before it was ready, plain and simple. This 'pc-console' version is a botch job!
1. The control in-game is atrocious, but there might be a easy fix for this via v-ysnc
2. Un-mappable keys - this is an abject failure, your alienating most of your pc player base...
3. Not being able to change from 3rd person to 1st person is a cardinal sin, the majority of PC games out there allows for it, why not this one.
And finally to sum up my general dissatisfaction and anger, some quotes I found in the DS forum...
"If they don't release a patch for this then obviously they don't care. That will confirm to me all the EA hate I have seen lately on the web"
"A bad thing"? Locking the controls was either stupid or arrogant.. Either way, for a games designer it represents abject failure; everybody and their granny knows that the majority of PC gamers re-map keys to standardize game controls"
"I have a game that I can't play with any skill because it is not properly coded. I would return this game for a refund if it were an option" - but as this is a sealed game the shop refused point blank to take it back WTF...
"I'll chalk this up to experience and in future I'll will only ever buy a game after I have tried the demo out first, period"
And some threads have been marked closed in the DS forum when QUITE CLEARLY the question was NOT ANSWERED - political much..?
