Yeah it has its major flaws but at least the gaming experience itself is quite mediocre.

1. The control in-game is atrocious, but there might be a easy fix for this via v-ysnc
Force v-sync from the GPU driver control panel, disable it in-game. Using this solution, the looking and aiming speed is on-par with the Xbox 360 version.
Yes, the in-game v-sync should be patched, but it's easy to work around.

2. Un-mappable keys - this is an abject failure, your alienating most of your pc player base...
Most of them are reboundable. From what I could see, only the arrow keys and the numberpad seem to be hard-bound. So some lefties are up shit creek. This should definitely be patched.

3. Not being able to change from 3rd person to 1st person is a cardinal sin, the majority of PC games out there allows for it, why not this one.
What a moronic concern. The game was designed as a third person survival horror action-adventure game, NOT a FPS. Dead Space != spiritual successor to Doom 3 or System Shock. Dead Space = a Resident Evil 4 clone in space.

While clearly your opinion is more important than anyone else's. Please post rants like these in (
http://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=116905) the appropriate thread. Perhaps even spend some time reading it, so you can find out that a lot of people don't seem to care that much about the points you're making.
Also: I am in awe of your grand skill in finding people ranting about the topic. It must have been hard.
Welcome to the internet.

Un-mappable keys:
Fallout 3. Why the hell can't I map the PipBoy to any key I want?
But Chuckie, you say, you can map the PipBoy to any key.
You just can't close it with any key BUT the Tab key. Fine, maybe if your not a leftie like me. And also, why is the mouse scroll button only used to flip between 1st and 3rd person?
Oh, you are ranting about Dead Space here. Biker is dead on about the game: it reallly should have a 1st person toggle... or better yet, no 3rd person view at all. Fuck the console boys. If they can play Halo with those little thumbsticks then....

The thing is, the 3rd person camera in Dead Space is fucking HORRID. I stopped playing 2 hours in because the camera suck a gigantic fat horse cock. First person would've made it easier to see anyway. Trying to walk around a corner is really hard when all you can see is a fucking wall.

I don't think the problem is that it uses a third person camera, it's that it uses a third person camera that is completely and utterly embarassing.

Yeah, I looked into selling my version but apparently no video game companies buy used PC games anymore. I would happily get it off my hands for 10 bucks.
I am quite boggled as to EA's unwillingness to fix the slow camera. Is there some great technical difficulty in doing this I am failing to notice?

The two minigames are good places to see the advantages and shortcomings of the viewing and aiming controls - the shooting gallery shows off the tight and accurate aiming and the basketball game is ... a mess of confusing disorientation.

I don't have $10 sh0ck3r but I'll gladly take it off your hands. :) Some of us know how to enjoy games.

Regardless of who your being acerbic with, this isnt comm chat...
The long and short of it, is more and more games are being released in a half arsed state, not fit for purpose etc. And the only option I and others are left with (other than bitching about it - because the publishers (EA) dont give a f*ck) is to never buy a game without playing the demo first. As you know most shops now wont let you return a game even if it is a pile of sh*t not worthy or putting you cup of coffee on...
