I am quite boggled as to EA's unwillingness to fix the slow camera. Is there some great technical difficulty in doing this I am failing to notice?
Sell it on Amazon or Ebay. I've been looking too buy it, but these limited-install games are a tough sell when they are used.
And I'm waiting for someone to patch in a proper view. (Though I understand the no-hud thing wouldn't quite work.)

Well, you do have to remember who you're talking to. I recall more than one occasion where Biker created incredibly off topic threads in ThiefGen, as well as creating duplicate threads in CommChat and GenGaming, so that the oversensitive crowd there doesn't have the leave the area. I also recall catching sight of what appeared to be some short of child-like display a few months ago, but the original post was edited so I can't really say for sure what was going one besides the impressions that the replies gave me.

...which is the other side of the coin, a rather admirable quality. Anyway, my interactions with yourself have been fairly limited, so all I got to go on is just general impressions at the moment.

I dont want to get off topic, so I'll finish this up by saying I had valid reasons at the time, but as the saying goes "you dont know what you have till its gone" and this was validated by the numerous heartfelt Pm's and email's I got from fellow taffers etc.
Anyway, Deadspace - pile of crap etc: I will try the v-sync option, but I think the other main problem thats is really pissing me of is the third person camer position and tracking speed - its no far enough back, and the lag just makes the game un-pleasurable (or will v-sync) fix the lag too..?

Yes, the camera really sucks. Why on earth they couldn't just copy the RE4 camera or the Splinter Cell camera is beyond me. A few chapters in I'm finally starting to get intrigued by the story/gameplay, but the "staring at dude's shoulder even while I walk around in an empty area" thing is pissing me the fuck off.
