The first and last chapter are kind of weak (the first one moreso) but everything in between? Holy fuck.

I still stand by the fact that a game that was designed for the Xbox will control intuitively better with the 360 controller.
Then explain why Assassin's Creed and ESPECIALLY Gears of War control far better with mouse and keyboard than they ever did with a gamepad? Fact my arse.
Fallout 3? (

Oh and Far Cry 2 was designed for PC and then ported to consoles. Do your homework.

News flash, most of us here own consoles too and have done so for several years. Take whatever disillusions of being a crusading pioneer out of your head. Racing and fightings totally suck hard with the keyboard, gamepad + analogue sticks all the of way for those genres. Emulated Survival Horror titles (and other titles with fixed cinematic camera angles) are practically unplayable with keyboard.
But First person shooters will always be better the m+kb, indisputable. A lot of third person action games too, i.e. those which control like FPSes (like Gears of War); also a mouse provides faster camera manipulation.

'More accurate' does not necessarily mean 'better'. Gamepads are more fun. And Gears of War IS better with a controller.

Not that that's saying much.

well...

I played through GoW1 twice, first time on Xbox (co-op with mates), second time on PC (co-op with random micless anonymous people). The aiming precision and speed brought by mouse look certainly made the overall experience better. But I wish that I could've played through the PC version with some of my 360 owning friends though.
Gears of War's only worth is as a social game.

Man, you are just itching to argue about this with me, aren't you.
Maybe you should try starting another thread.

I`m only a few chapters in, and all I have to say is that Dead Space kicks fucking ass.
The end

What's there to argue? The PC version of GoW1 is superior in every way.
Oh and playing it on a frigging underpowered laptop is like playing 360 or PS3 games on a 4:3 SDTV, it wasn't designed to be played that way.
And don't even try to deny that Gears of War was created with 2-player co-operative play in mind ahead of everything else. It's a social game.

on a more pertinent note, I am nearly finished the med section now—this game is fantastic.
*Oh but I must point out that there are WAY more monster closets in Dead Space than in Bioshock. Hell, monster closets are even built into the plot (AVOID THE VENTS! not that you can or anything). I always liked surprise monsters anyway though so NO PROBLEM THERE :thumb:
