Sure the bugs are there but not to the extent where the game is ruined.
Overall its a very solid experience and unless there is some catstrophically show-stopping error around the corner in later chapters I'm still of high opinion of this game.
ps: what the fuck are those bog bastards who leapt out at me on the Atrium and Systems decks?? We are moving out of the realm of "dna mutations" on the people on the ship and into full-grown monsters.

namely ch. 6 and 8).

BUT IT'S NOT PERFECT
EVERYTHING MUST BE PERFECT OR IT'S THE WORST GAME EVARRRRRRR
BAWWWWWWWWWW
There seems to be a few of us "out there" that aren't happy about the keyboard binding issue. I'm aware there are a number of workarounds related to the keyboard binding issue. I figured I'll give the controller a try. As for the game, I haven't knocked it as I haven't played it. I bought it because so many of you liked it. My issue isn't with the game itself per say, it's with EA. I don't like the damn company. I very seldom buy one of their games. On rare occasions when I do purchase a EA product it's because the product got a lot of positive posting about said item. As of a couple weeks back EA still had no patch out for a game that was released about six months ago. Since I don't like EA and am very prejudicial towards them I may be more understanding towards another vendors offering while EA gets next to none. I'll rate the game on it's own merits when I get a chance to play it.

So wait, let me get this straight. You bought the game- despite not liking EA- but you still won't install it, because you don't like EA. Even though you bought the game. Giving EA your hard-earned money.
Yeah, okay.

Actually, he gave the retailer his money, EA already got their share from the retailer when it bought copies of the game from them.

This is what I don't get.. There is no need for workarounds.. the keybinding is right in the menu. And for some reason everybody thinks you can't rebind the keys. then everyone complains that you can't rebind the menu keys.. like how for some reason arrows make no sense to people.

That is ever so slightly not the point.

As stated above in plain print, yes, I don't like EA. I also stated on rare occasion I will buy one of their games if it got a lot of good reviews. Seems a lot of folks here liked it so I put my personal prejudice aside and got a copy. While I don't think much of EA, I do have a lot of respect in regards to the lot of you here at TTLG and your suggestions. If most of you say its a good game, then its good. I've been swayed. I bought it. Happens at times.
The game is loaded and installed. I change the default key bindings to what I want, save and when I'm back in the game, it' back to default settings. Changing the default key bindings is not working. So, I searched on the WWW and found ways to get that issue resolved as others seem to be having same problem. I chose not to do the resolve/fix and try the controller instead.
I hope to play the game in the near future. Looking for a job is top on the list right now.

I wasn't addressing the point (that is Adam's job), I was simply correcting you.
No offense was meant by that, by the way. ;)

This asteroids part is stupid. I died six or seven times before I gave up for the night; I guess I'll try again tomorrow, but man, didn't the devs realize that a joystick is just not accurate enough to do this sort of thing? Any sense of tension they were trying to create is destroyed like so many annoying balls of rock (hull integrity critical).
