I have updated the site so it does not use popups any more.
Thx! Much better now. :)

I really don't see the need to harp on about not violating Thief IP. It's a campaign that will use The Dark Mod, and that's all you need to say. It draws more attention to possible IP theft the way you are saying it. And the new site is much better.

Thanks Vigil like that.

Indeed. It's much better to quietly change directions without letting on that there was a different direction at all. I would suggest removing any instances of "Keeping the powers happy" and such. Simply state what the mod is and that will quietly explain what it isn't, for you. :)

I dont think it'll be a big deal. No one's getting upset over the Goldeneye mod for Half Life, and that is technically infringing on more than one copyright!

When you're treading on thin ice, it's best to have boots with a large surface area. To distribute the weight. Or something. I hear tennis raquettes work quite well. And yes, that is how you spell it.

raquettes ... And yes, that is how you spell it
but how we spell words is just a matter of common use, and since so many people have written "racket" for so long, it's now considered the main correct spelling by many respected dictionaries. The alternative is usually listed as "racquet". And I found this note "Etymology: Middle French 'raquette'". Those are the two main spellings in America at least.
/nerd...
I agree, don't bother with dumb "close spelling" names, that just makes it worse, like you KNOW it's illegal and you're trying to skirt it, rather than just proceding straight ahead on an innocent and harmless project.

A "racket" is a loud sustained noise. For example, "I caused quite a racket beating someone senseless with a racquet for spelling racquet as 'racket'".
