I have a downloaded version of thief: deadly shadows which was running flawlessly until I found the secret tunnel to the keeper compound. Now the game will try to load the next mission but stops and crashes to desktop while doing so. Neither Eidos or the vendor for the download have offered any resolution to this issue.
Also, I'm wondering if there should be some movies between missions to tell the story line that I'm not seeing.
Anyone else have this issue with loading after the secret tunnel? I'm running Win XP with an ATI Radeon 9550 video card and Soundblaster Audigy 4 soundcard. I've updated drivers. I'd hate to have to buy the CD after paying for the download.

Maybe a possible corrupt save. Try restoring an older one.
Tds has videos between missions, but I don't remember if there is one at this point. I have the same configuration as you do and it worked fine.

Do you have the downloaded version or the CD version? I'll see if an older save makes a difference. Strange that the game would be fine up to this point and then suddenly not. I did read a post from someone who had the exact same issue at the same place in the game, but now I can't find that post. (didn't say the problem was fixed, though).
