Hey guys I just yesterday got thief deadly shadows from steam, I've played the first two thief games to death but I've put off playing ds because it just never really looked like it could compare. I've decided I need to play it, and so far I've patched it to 1.1 and installed the sneaky update but my problem remains. Whenever I load a saved game it takes forever, also before I even get to see the loading progress indicator it minimizes to the desktop twice and then pops back up. Anyone else have this problem? I'm hoping this isn't normal and that there's a fix because as it is now it's too frustrating to play. Any help would be appreciated, thanks.

loading times are pretty wierd and there is nothing you can do about it
same goes for the fact that the game restarts each time it loads a level (thats the minimizing)

Dang, that sucks. So in your opinion is the game good enough to play anyway? I always see mixed reviews on this game, some say it's as good as the first two but that doesn't seem possible to me although I've only played the first mission.

Interesting, thanks for the info. If I've waited this long to play DS I can certainly wait a little longer for the Gold Project.
