He probably meant
the battle that takes place between the Mechanists and the Sisterhood. That didn't occur in the first version.
Excellent mission. Different in a very refreshing way. Liked the homage to "Alien," with Mother and all that, and I even recognized a computer sound effect that was pulled from the movie. There's a bit of 2001: A Space Odyssey in there too, yes?
Along with his superfun Brawl in the Tombs, I'd say John D is a primo FM author!

Thanks for this great mission John D :thumb:
Deep Trouble was allready enjoyable (which I also finished a few days back), but 2 is even better. Bigger, longer, and a lot scarrier. The soundtrack, the emptiness and the enemies together really gave me the feel of being alone in a metal city at the bottom of the sea, where the AI has taken over control. Especially at the start of the mission I was frightend to continue, afraid to open the next steel door and see what's behind it. Walking through long deserted corridors, entering the living area's of the slaughtered crew, very atmospheric. The use of System Shock 2 textures in the mission increased this even more, and gave a different experience then the average thief fanmission.
Further great architecture, lots of book and scrolls that gives the player more background information, side quests, and a good story that also has something to do with your Island of Iron missions, and the original Thief 2 mission 'Precious Cargo' (Markham's Isle).
I also enjoyed the many windows in the mission which makes it possible to see the oceanfloor and the size of the complex.
I 'm normally not a big fan of missions with a lot of metal and modern technology, but I was pleasantly surprised by Deep Trouble 1 & 2 because you put more in the mission then only some metal and machines. By adding a story, good level design and a freaky atmosphere I can really recommend it. Great job :thumb: I will try out some of your other missions as well ,like 'Island of Iron' and 'Brawl in the Tombs'. Hopefully we will see more missions from you in the future!

I just wanted to say that the design is stunning ! Incredibly beautiful !
Just playing it makes me ashamed each time I load up Dromed and am unable to match your flair and creativity to the power of a million.
How on Earth did you go about creating something so stunning with little old Dromed and its limited shapes ?
Wow !!!! :thumb:

The second mission in this version has been changed a great deal. The architecture is quite different in some areas and there are added objectives. The one about the children is one of them. You're a long way away, Dafydd.
The area with the children is quite close to the big circular hallways where you find the Chapel and the entrance to Mother's core. It's off of the corridor that you follow from there to get to the Mall.
I am in the
exit pods area. I can't find the children,I read in Ricebug's walkthrough that they are located near these exit pods, but for the life of me cannot locate them. Any straight spoler pls?????
