I've finished playing Deep Trouble but is it suppose to end the way it did? After transporting to the Cetus Amicus i entered some quarters, whereby picking up the key or reading the diary ended the mission. IIRC when i played the original version, the mission ends after i entered storage locker 5, using the key i had just picked up.
Of course it's possible that this was a intended change, but i think it's unlikely because it means the mission ends without warning for the player, who has the rest of the Cetus Amicus to explore and get the last bits of loot before calling it a day. Plus storage locker 5 is unpickable, and i believe the key i pick up is intended to open it so you can end the mission there.

Wow, Thief meets System Shock 2 or vice versa. Nicely done but I'm stuck in Part 2.
Where do I find the door code to escape this level?

shadows, I've forwarded your problem on to Dark Assassin and will post the response here when I get it.

Thanks dude.
I checked the original version of Deep Trouble and yes the mission ends after you enter storage locker 5 with the key you get in that room.
In both cases i was playing on highest difficulty. There's a difference in order and number of objectives as well, if this matters.
In the original version you get:
- Find out where you ended up
- Steal 1200 in loot
- Get out alive
In this version you get:
- Get out alive
- Get 1000 loot
In DarkAssassin's version, after i read the diary or picked up the key, the 'Get out alive' objective becomes obsolete (red circle with line across it). The 1000 loot objective was already done. Hope that helps.

DA has replied and said the problem is now fixed, and that a new version will be released soon. The problem was actually reported during testing, but DA forgot to fix it.
