Hi,
I'm getting the cdt with version 2 right at the beginning of the mission when turning right to enter the abbey yard. So went into game mode with dromed, and at the same location got this assertion failure:
"Assertion Failed
md_render_model: model is old version 1 (File: render, line: 671)
(yes to trap, no to exit, cancel to ignore)"
Selecting cancel allows dromed game mode to continue. Well, I closed down dromed and darkloader to post this info.
I remember way back I was making a mission for T1/G. Well I got the desire to add Targas ai model "dahamma" and Schwaa's thief models and got the same error only because I was adding them to the object hierarchy incorrectly. That's been a while ago and I lost the mission when I forgot to backup the my mission folder on a T1G re-install. I can't remember exactly what I did in my custom dark.gam to get them to work.
Just thought I'd post this info if it'll help to fix this mission.
Bye,
JimB

Help please - can't find sword.
I am in the room with the secret entrance to where you need to "kill" the haunt to met one of the objectives - had to use the hammer to do the objective but can't get past the other haunt by the bottom of the stairs without killing him.

Actually you can. I didn't find the extra ammo until after I had entered and looted both tombs by luring the haunts away from their posts and creeping back in to the areas they were guarding.
That's one of the reasons I really liked this mission; it was unusually challenging.
BUT I CAN'T FINISH THE MISSION DUE TO HAVING NO SCEPTRE! SHEESH, SPEESH! H E L P ! !
nobody has reported finding the scepter.
OK, I could've probably told you myself, but anyway...
It's supposed to be in Saint Delford's sarcophagus, but isn't there for some reason...
By the way, Dafydd's one of the best. If he can't find it, chances are no one can.:erg:

I don't know what went wrong there. It worked for beta testers and showed up in dromed, but darkloader deletes it no matter what I do with it. I tried and couldn't find any solution as to why that was happening.
Is it the same for the key to the lock in the priest's room, Speesh?
I even jumped into the sarcophagus with the skelly, frobbed every inch of the poor sod, closed and opened the lid on myself a few times, got out and frobbed all the way around the outside of the coffin, towards the bottom (in case it had slipped downward a little), but still no joy in Delfordville. That scepter is gone.
"Gone like a freight train, gone like yesterday, gone like a soldier in the Civil War, bang bang, gone like a '59 Cadillac, like all the good things that ain't never coming back...."
Yeah, she's gone.
Speesh, maybe you should just make that lock pickable -- and put the scepter inside it! :ebil:

Try hacking the lich and any similar tough opponent (like the winged Bone Demon) from around a sharp corner (a doorway is fine).
Metal Dawn, after reading your post, I tried that; but I couldn't get the lich to come over to a doorway and stand there so I could lean around and hack at him! He kept pushing into the doorway... which meant that
when he blew up, I blew up right alongside him.
I wish I had more mines. Or more holy water.
I think I'll just have to declare a moral victory, let the lich live (you call this living?), go to my start point, and press the old shft-ctrl-alt-end.

I've done everything I could do also, I can't find the sceptre either. It simply isn't there unless it has fallen under the sarcophagus. As for the entity that blows up when you kill her/it, I managed that one by fluke. I was trying to sneak out of the area and got hung up on one of the crystal lights so as I scrambled to move she/it saw me and charged me. I just managed to get around the corner and started wacking her/it with everything I had. She/it still blew-up in my face but since I was far enough around the corner, I received only a bit of damage. Guess I'll be giving this one the 4 finger salute. Speesh, even with all the little problems that occurred in this mission, I still enjoyed it. I appreciate all the time and effort everyone puts into the missions they create. If it wasn't for people like you, my Thief CD would just be collecting dust. Keep up the good work :thumb:
I found the mines, sword and water arrows behind the wall that opens when you frob the light. Go down the first set of big wide stairs and the light is just on the right (if you go down on the right side). I was always running trying not to get killed that I never spotted the light or the wall. Did anyone ever find a way to open whatever is behind banner in the priest's room??? Now that I have a sword I'm going back there. Thanks.
I have the hammer and the moss arrows and that's it. Most of the Hammer's are dead as I had them chase me down in the catacombs and they got whacked. They didn't kill but may 2 or 3 or the bad buys. So now I have to go back down with just a Hammer.....HELP!
:erg:

Speesh,
Went into Dromed to try and figure out the scepter problem. You have Difficulty -> Permit : None set on the scepter.
If you don't want it to exist in easier levels, just add Difficulty -> Destroy : 0, 1 ...etc. That way it will destroy the scepter on easy levels, just leaving it for harder levels.
I don't know what Difficulty -> Permit does......
