In the original UK versions of TDP and TMA, and in the UK Premier Collection edition of TG, was there originally a demo disc bundled with the games?

This site shows a copy of the Premier Collection edition for sale, and the seller says that the demo disc that was originally included is missing. I was told there was no such disc.
Thanks

I bought my copy of the Premier Thief Gold in 1999. There was no demo disc included with it, in fact I never got any demo disc with any Premier title I ever bought. Never had a demo disc with TMA for that matter and as I never bought TDP at the time I can't help you with that one.
None of this means that demo discs were never included though, just that I never came across one.

That seller maybe just remembers that Thief used to come with a demo disc, and he forgot that the Premier versions never had one, and only knows that he doesn't have one now, so he says it's "missing" the demo disc.

Used to come with a demo disc? Which UK Thief games did come with a disc?

Sorry, I don't know about UK. Is this "Premier" versions the only way the game was ever released there? I thought the Premier was the later repackaging of the games, CD case only.

Premier was the label Thief Gold was released under and it came either jewel case only, or in a box (the box only contained the jewel case version, there were no extra items). I don't think TMA came out as a Premier version, but I could be wrong about that. I certainly don't remember seeing one.

As far as I remember, every game released by Eidos also contained the newest demo CD. For TDP, it was in a separate envelope. TMA and TG (with the trifold case thingies) had the two game discs and a third demo disc.

My copy of TG came with a demo disk. I can't remember which version it was, but I'll try to find out.

Ok, this is what came with my copies of the games:
Tomb Raider (Not Thief, but same difference in this case) - Demo volume 2
Thief: Dark Project - volume 4
Thief Gold - volume 5
Thief 2 - volume 7
Is it legal to copy and distribute demo discs published 10+ years ago, or just mirror downloads of the actual demo files?

I would think, being free of charge, that demos are legal to distribute, especially given that many legit gaming sites do so.
