I slayeth Armor Spider!!!! Fuck yeah, I ran in there thinking I had a bazillion arrows when in reality I had 10. So I had to get up close, I hid in the alcove to the left and stabbed him with my +4 winged spear until he bought the farm. Now I've died 8 times after that because the next area involves jumping down platforms and I always miss and fall to my death. Fucking right.

You don't have to jump down those platforms. There's a longer, more dangerous route to the left at the mine car junction.

I think at least one part requires you to roll over a gap between ledges so if you're wearing heavy armor you need to remove it for that. That part is annoying until you've done it enough times. If a game doesn't involve a basic move like jumping then it shouldn't involve any damn gaps you need to get over either. But don't worry. I think you'll get to practice that part a lot since Flamelurker is about 10 times harder than Armor Spider.

Started a new character, a magic user this time. (Royalty to be exact, because of a few perks they get). I'm loving it thus far!

Protip: If you are trying to coop in any or the 3-x worlds, you have to coordinate with your friend so that he summons you ASAP. Why?
Because on of the bosses in 3-x summons YOU as its avatar. I put down a blue soul sign and I was summoned as a black phantom, very confused.
I realized I was the boss for this guy and if you quit you lose a soul level so you have to fight the player.
I didn't know if i should go easy on the guy or not, didn't want to be penalized so the first time this happened to me I was vicious, endless Poison Clouds and Soul Rays ate the guy up and he succumbed to me. I felt bad after that.
Second time it happened I didn't try so hard, let the player kill me after struggling. (Seriously, my magic char is tough).
Really great experience though.

Yeah, the Old Monk boss is one of the many highlights of this game, and an incredibly inventive use of online play.
