I'm a fanatic DeusEx player, so I tortured a friend of mine until he would come and watch me playing the game. He immediately wanted to borrow it, so that's what he did. But after a two weeks or so, he said he didn't have fun playing it anymore. The reason was, he said, that when he was watching me playing, it was to him like a "good film", but when he played it himself, he didn't like it that much anymore.
I think DeusEX is one of the ggames where one plays and about six other peol´ple are watching and giving comments about the game, trying to solve the puzzels and so on. Anyone else thinks so?

That really depends on the people watching you. If your friends come straight from the twitch shooter crowd, then they will quickly be whining about how boring it is to watch someone slowly hack a computer. ;)

Considering what we get in movie theaters now, such as "Buffy has a Bad Hair Day," it is no wonder your film going friend is frantically looking for a replacement for what used to be "the movies." I haven't been in a theater in seven months. The lack of movies has to be helping the gaming industry, don't you think?

could be, but no one's ever going to watch somone playing serious sam. there's just not enough involvement. even the shooter crowd(i think i'm part of as well) won't do that. racing games ditto.
i haven't got any problem with lurkers as long as they don't try to spoil my fun. My sister used to sit next to me playing unreal, and everytime a monster appeared, she shrieked. i got shocked too, but not by the monster itself, but by the shrieks of my sister, who was apparently being cruelly dismembered in her fantasy.
