Can anyone tell the difference when Eax is enabled and disabled in Deus Ex? What do you notice with EAX if you do notice a difference at all?

To put it simply, the game is a fair bit more atmospheric. I played DX initially on a 350 with a basic soundcard. The sound was still great, but the EAX on my new computer enhances it a fair bit. Of course- what I gained in sound I've lost by getting a non 3DFX graphics card, at leat until I put in the multiplayer patch.
