i tried to load music files into the deus ex editor, but the uploader only supports .it, .mod, .s3m file (and so on) which i cannot save in any way. winamp is able to read these files, but not to save them. a friend told me that i needed an "it-cracker". where can i get this stuff?

You need to be more specific in what you exactly want to do. Are you saying you want to listen to the DX tunes? If so, you need to get ModPlug. This is the only plug-in that I know will run them and it works great, or at least on my machine it does. You can get ModPlug at the link below.

i thought i had been specific enough.
what i want to do is: load nusic (eg mp3) into the dx ed so i can implement it in the levels i create.
the problem is: the ed requires the files to heve the extensions .it, .s3m, .mod a.s.o. i'm not able to convert my mp3s into these types.

O.k., gotcha now. I think ModPlug can help you. You can change files in ModPlug and I think it's got those extensions that you want, but I'm not sure because I'm not at home right now and can't check. Go check it out and see for yourself though.

Wouldn't you change music files to .umx with ModPlug and then import them?
