But they certainly look like they're in-game, as the jagged shadows, blurry textures, and aliased edges can attest. Regardless of whether they're gameplay or not, those shots certainly look impressive. There's a lot of good ol' Blade Runner influence in there.

why is this d3us 3x thread on thi4f forums?

Same studio I'm guessing.

The thing that worries me about this trailer is that so many apparent plot points are depicted in pre-rendered CG.
You see a fight between Adam and the man with the gun arm that we've seen before (this game's version of Gunther Hermann?) you see Adam discussing certain developments in the story...
...this worries me, because it seems like these are snippets from actual in-game cinematics. Which Deus Ex simply should not have. Anyways, I could be wrong. It's possible these events were rendered specifically for the trailer... but a simple Final Fantasy XIII formula of 'gameplay-cutscene-gameplay-cutscene' would be an awful design choice.

That's exactly how it's going to be and these are most certainly snippets from the cutscenes. I'll wager a lot of this is from the intro cutscene. The screenshots look very xbox to me.
After seeing this, I'm almost convinced that Thi4f will adopt the visual style of TDS.

Do you have irrefutable proof of this? Because I don't recall any quotes about Squeenix providing hour upon hour of cut scenes a la Final Fantasy for DE:HR anywhere.
Also, good grief, how exactly do screenshots look very 'xbox' and not very 'PS3'? Or 'PC', for that matter?

Okay, that's funny, I'll give you that. But apart from control prompts, wiseguy.

Well, I'm excited, but I am certainly not the stealthiest player you've ever seen.
I'm hoping for the longevity that the first game had, though...
