My mistake, I thought you were from ThiefGen and assumed you'd had all the joy sucked out of you from having to contend with what disasters latter-day Thiefs have been. That would be the most reasonable explanation for the instant assumption that DX: MD would suck. It can't possibly be due to a lack of research to inform your opinion, because that'd be plainly silly.

If T4 had the same sort of creative focus that EM has shown with the big DX releases (we'll just forget about The Fall...although to be fair at least the writing was good) ThiefGen would still hate it for basically the same reasons but it would have at least been a critical success otherwise instead of just being a good game that needed some direction.

Yeah, well, if knowing which team is working on it is called "extensive research" nowadays and instant guarantee that the game will be a great DX game then I envy your low standards. Maybe staying here in General long enough will lower mine as well.
