I was just wondering how your experience of Deus Ex differed a second time through. I'm most of the way through playing a second time and loving every minute all over again. This time I'm playing as more of a jerk, taking out innocents a lot for cash, etc. My first time through I pretty much left innocents alone.

I'm not playing Deus Ex another time 'till I get an upgrade. But I am looking forward to play Deus Ex one more time. It is good.

Yeah, i've tried to mix it up each time i've gone through the game. Take a different route, get a different aug, kill everything or as little as possible... :D

My friend, who gave this game to me, configured it by some way, explained me what to do and left. I didn't touch a config since that and finished all the game with these settings he made. I was a bit disappointed with the graphics and green lines were sometimes popping up around characters' faces...
I finished the game and said I wouldn't play it again until I'd get a game with english sounds (in my friend's copy all sounds/dialogues were translated into russian! and translation was so dumb) Some days lated I bought my own CD with original english voices. I re-installed the game and started to play with settings. I decided to change 16-bit textures to 32 bit, and, what a miracle! Entire game look has changed! I was wondering how I was playing 16-bit textures and didn't knew about all game's true beauty...
Now I think I will start again and try to do less kills than in previous game. But anyway I think I'd be unable to get rid of cheating. I enjoy role-playing aspect of the game, and getting "in character", and shooting mostly annoys me =)
Added a little tribute to DX on my Matrix site today, to confuse Matrix lovers =)

How can you make money by killing innocents? Do they leave PIN numbers or cash behind?

Some have cash. Especially the Lucky Money employee who you have to pay to enter. She's carrying a lot of cash.

well, i've played it 3 times, and , hehe, the 3rd time was the one that took the longest. not so much because it was on Realistic but that i really investigated pretty much everything and found some additional places i didn't even see the 2nd time. not to mention still being able to accomplish tasks in different ways. better replay value have i not found in a game. anyway, it's finally resting on the shelf now... looking good up there....
