... when I picked up the iron ore and then again when I picked up the copper ore I could no longer run??
There
is a way to carry the ore and also be able to run:
while carrying the ore, just pick up an explosives barrel and then put it down again. You will then be able to run. I assume this is because the explosive barrel also causes Garrett to slow down but putting the barrel down restores his default walk/run settings. :sly:

I found the ore effect disappeared when I walked up a couple of stairs.

For those curious as to how the Apothecary Apparatus works...
(
http://www.4shared.com/file/1MqOPE_E/ApoAppar.html) Here is a demo of just the apparatus. I tried to explain it a bit, but hopefully it isn't TOO hard to figure out. Things can be a bit of a mess since I had to at times put scripts on concrete objects just to make sure that I didn't run out of object IDs in Lingering Whispers.
Let me know if you have any questions.

1.
Enter the correct code in the same way that you would open the bay doors. There is a hint as to where to find the code in a letter by Novice Wilhelm. That hint refers to Parable of The Smith whichs tell about copper and tin ore. Nothing about the code. Can't find the one running around for hours. Where's it?

I still don't understand. Where are those numbers from?
Tannar on 14/9/2011 at 08:24
They are from the Parable of The Smith. The clue says to pay attention to the number of days. The days listed in the Parable are 3, 9 and a fortnight wihcih is two weeks = 14 days. So, 3914. I haven't tried it yet but I assume that is correct.

Thanks for the hints, Tannar. Finished. :)
Thanks scarykitties! :D Great mission! Liked the feature with multiple endings. :thumb: Well, at some points was difficult figuring out what to do next, but the mission is quite logical though, unlike Zontik's King's Story.

Thanks for the feedback!
It was the first mission that I've done solo. I've never built a mission from scratch before, so it was a great learning experience. This feedback really helps me know what worked and what didn't as well.
In the future, I'll try to use other, better methods of alerting the player to what the next step is and avoid difficult puzzles to beat the mission.

Despite the difficulty to navigate the mines - it's my failing ability of running mazes, an average white rat would easily beat me - this is a truly superb mission. Thank you scarykitties!
One weird observation, though: sometimes a frozen zombie from the mines appears (immobilized, but standing up) unexpectedly at various places. Once it blocked the patrol route of the big blue Child in the doorway from the Mech Area to warehouse beta, helping a lot to explore the Temple...
I finished on Expert with ~250 loot missing, but despite an hour of desperate search I could not find the 4th secret. According to Gnartsch' earlier list it must be somewhere in the D office area - could you please be a little more specific?
