Details please...
Auction house makes loot hunting obsolete.
Auction house makes crafting useless.
Crafting is just D2 gambling in disguise.
Runes are just the WoW talent system with a few more options, some useless, some outright redundant. They still pigeonhole you into a specific build in hell or inferno.
Items are boring. All you need to do is stack VIT and your primary stat on them.
Legendaries are a joke and they're still insanely rare. Part of the problem is that their stats are way too random. They just want you to use the auction house to find a perfect one.
Act bosses are a joke. They're easier than any unique monster you'll find before them.
The further you get in NM and Hell, the more useless shit that drops. Why am I level 50 at the end of NM and having a lot of level 35 items dropping? Oh that's right, I'm supposed to use the auction house.
The level cap is 60 and you level way too fast. Hmm reminds me of another Blizzard game.
And the story is shit. The last two acts have the villains saying "No matter! I have this other thing going on!"
three fucking times in a row each when you complete quests.
Melee classes are shit at higher difficulties, particularly Inferno where barbarians get 2 shotted even with optimal gear.
Wizards were soloing Inferno easily until a day ago.

I'm curious to see how long people will stick with Diablo 3. I mean it's a decent game, but it's no Diablo 2 that's for sure.

Sad, innit.
In many ways Diablo 3 reminds me of the Boycott Modern Warfare 2 Steam Group.
Complainers caving and buying the game anyway are not even remotely the cause of a PC only game selling 3.5 million copies in 24 hours. Blizzard and Diablo simply have massive brand recognition that goes far beyond the usual gaming circles. My workplace is abuzz with talk about the game and this is from people who buy maybe 1 game a year at the most. These people don't know about the whole uproar regarding the always online/RMAH stuff; they just know there is a new Diablo game out. So it's not so much a case of weakness of principle than it is ignorance.

I can testify to this, the majority of my friends who bought Diablo 3 never even played the prequels. It was mainly just a case of them being enticed by the all the hype surrounding it.

Actually, most of the workmates I'm referring to, did indeed play the previous games. It's just that they have, for various reasons, played precious little since so a new Diablo game is a big deal to them.

I agree but it could be with some big patches and an expansion or two.

Got a chance to try it out.
My impression is that torchlight was better.
Yes, I mean Torchlight. Not Torchlight 2.

Just watched one of the video reviews and the reviewer complained about lag.
Lag.
Lag in a single player.
Think about that for a few seconds.
*breath in*
Ahahahahahahahahahahaha what the fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuu
But the hordes of fans will make sure this soon becomes an increasingly common practice :thumb:
