I'm as incredulous about his incredulity. I see his WTF and raise him an eyebrow. Two if I'm feeling moderately inclined to look over whatever frothy rage-induced ululation he's about to gargle at us over 'TTLG whining about DRM'.
In the meantime, serious sloth has this to say:

Well as they said in this review/video: (
http://www.escapistmagazine.com/videos/view/jimquisition/5743-You-Should-Be-Mad-at-Diablo-IIIs-Always-Online-DRM)
We have every right to bitch about it and we should be. If your playing singleplayer in something you should be able to do it whenever you want, NOT when the servers are up. Simple. And if people don't bitch about it or give in to the "stop whining" people then what we see with Diablo 3 will be the trend for future rpgs. No thank you.
I love Skyrim and Fallout 3 to BITS but if they had had this in place I'd never have bought those either.

Huh. I just solo'd The Butcher as a Monk in Hell difficulty from 70% health while my two other party members watched. And I was wearing all pink so that's a bonus.

So I just hit 60 on my Witch Doctor and messed around in Inferno for a bit. I think the fact that I've played through the story 3 times now and want to see how much more of an ass kicking it can give me is testament to how masochi-, er... how much fun I'm having. It really is a great Diablo clone and scratches the loot-gathering demon-ass-kicking itch. And the backgrounds! It's great that we aren't looking at just a floor the whole time.
So yeah, enjoying it muchly. And no complaints about being online. But that's most likely because I use all the online features and love them. It's awesome being able to instantly jump into a 4 player group if something is too tough to solo.

...Did he just call Diablo a "Diablo clone"? :joke:

That's somehow appropriate.

I find it's easier to gloss over flaws if you disassociate a game from it's predecessors. Especially when there are so few of the original crew working on the successor.

The much praised lord of destruction was developed at blizzard though, it doesn't even have matt uelmen music.

This just in, auction house kills item hunting, one of main features of Diablo 1/2. Why bother running bosses when you can just equip +% gold gear and farm money?
In before horribad TTLG members make posts like WELL THAT'S GOOD

It's sims with diablo 2 ish skills and less customization and fun. Get some clothes, make a skill tree, remake it when you're bored, go and listen to some bad dialog, maybe kill a mob, buy more stuff, screw around... yeah...
