seven shades of mercury was a bitch while testing, esp. the toxic steampuff in the start area was a framerate-killer
you might wanna try that one:cheeky:

Rose Cottage might also be worth trying (well, more than it is anyway!)

I took out whole bunches of slowdown areas from Finals, maybe I can put them back in ...

I've been wondering; is it possible to increase the resolution of Dromed past 1024*768 with 1.19? I must admit using a windowed 1024*768 editor always bugged me, and I'd be really glad if it's possible. :D

I'm now using edit_screen_size 1440,1080 (!!) in my user.cfg. Works great. I would guess that any 1.333 ratio would work out OK. Try it and let us know.

I'm stll using a 800x600 window, from before I upgraded my monitor. :erm:
Maybe it's time to make it bigger.

Works fine at 1920x1200; 2560x1600 works but goes off the screen a bit (so you can't see the menu bar, for example). I can't seem to find a resolution in between that it likes.
Edit: 2048x1536 does work, but loses a few pixels of the title bar and, of course, misses 512 horizontal pixels. Probably as good as I'm going to get.

I will say that the quality of the renderer is making me wince at some of my textures. The old engine was like looking through slightly frosted glass so you didn't notice the imperfections so much. This is like just having gotten new glasses, everything is so crisp and clear and sharp.

Say, stupid question coming from a amateur whose only touched Dromed a couple of times, but I'm all game for trying 1.19 out and learning it from trial-error -- And I wanna make a separate folder for Dromed T2 and just wanna know which T2 files I can safely delete?
It's the new resolution support that attracted me, first off. :cheeky:
Also, it rekindled my interest in making an FM.

No I see that the game and the editor uses all of the CPU cores, is no longer limited to 1 core, which explains the fast rendering in Dromed. Anyone made this patch was very much aware of the daily problems :D .
