In the DX demo I could swear there was a small radioactive room in basement of generator building (mission 2 in New York) but I can't find it in the full game.What gives?

There is indeed a second demo mission which has been released apart from the original demo.

If you mean the room with two toxic barrels leaking noxious fumes, it's there in
my full version

Yes, the demo I had was Liberty Island and the nice big 2nd mission! I looked and looked for the toxic room near the office but couldn't find it.
