I started to play the first part of this mission. It looks very good but I think the background music just doesn't suit with the atmosphere.
Is there any way to disable it??

You could turn the in game ambient volume down all the way. I don't think that completely turns off music though.
You could also go into the FM's "snd" directory and delete (or replace) the tracks you don't like.
I feel the need to add that I don't approve of removing the music from ANIR, but if it's what you want that's how you would do it. Maybe replace it with music from the original games, it would sound weird with complete silence.

I also feel the need to add that, for me, the music Drk chose for ANIR is perfect. There is a point in the first mission where you need that music to fell the tension of the scene. [Those who finished ANIR know what i'm talking about :D]

I'm ok with that, do whatever you want if it's your way to enjoy it.
If it's the fact the music is too loud, there is a patch around here made by Bikerdude, which lowers down the sound volume.

Is biker's patch just for Rocksbourg? Now and again I come across a mission (not Rocksbourg) where lowering the ambient slider makes no difference at all.

Yes, basically he directly edited the sound files, so it's very specific to Rocksbourg 1 & 2.
Maybe he did the same with other FMs I dunno.

Is that patch still hosted on the ttlg server..?
And regarding other FMs its easy enough to do multpile sound files you are finding too loud using the chains command in audacity.

I see, can I find this patch anywhere???
