- is there a way to find out which diseases you have (apart from going into the "current effects" tab)?
- are there any other incurable diseases besides Porphyric Hemophilia? That is, ones which require drinking a potion of cure disease before they become too serious to treat (and you're stuck with them)?
Just wondering... I've recently bumbed the difficulty level higher and found the real "weapon" of zombies and such... :nono:

There is currently no way of seeing what diseases affect you except by reviewing the Current Effects screen. There also should be no diseases other than Porphyric Hemophilia that become uncurable after a time. It is still be a good idea to cure yourself as early as possible.

Well that's sick (pardon the pun). Veritable hoards of diseases (zombies, beggars, etc.) walking around, and no doctor/healer in sight?

Guess I'll have to stock up on the PoCDs, then :tsktsk:

Or get sufficient Restoration skill and the Cure Disease Spell. Or be Argonian :cheeky:

Diseases should've been removed(sans vampirism) in this game.
They aren't a useful game mechanic, they're an annoyance.
I'm literally more afraid of rats than I am of anything else in the game because they might give me a disease and I'll ahve to go find my cure disease spell.

Rats, zombies, beggars... And all the diseases, while common (Shakes, Droops, etc.) don't seem to give me any negative modifiers (and are thus undetectable in the status tab).
A funny thing is that Vampirism doesn't seem random at all. Every time i attempt Azura's quest, i get vampirized on the first hit. But no matter how many vampires I fight elsewhere, I never seem to contract the vampire bug...
One more question: Does casting/praying/drinking a potion with the effect of Cure Disease immediately cure me of any and all diseases I might have contracted in my life (excepting Vampirism in certain cases), or do I sometimes have to use it several times to completely get rid of them?

Just once, I think.

Ooohhh, diseases are scary!
Question: In Morrowind you became completely immune to disease if you managed to attain a 100% Resist Magicka effect. Anyone know if this is still true in Oblivion?

I'm not 100% sure, though it does seem possible. I remember my breton at 100%MR being in a vampire cave, and getting the prophyric hemophelia message multiple times, even without any cures, though it never showed up.
