I don't think they could bite anything with with cages on;)

Now I realise they had rusty hand cages... Oh god, Garrett's gonna have soo much trouble with tenanus in the near future...

It's still scary, I haven't finished it (so close, but playing on hard and i know i've missed 2 pieces of special loot), but the girl...the girl...not creepy...i just feel the same way as i did after reading scarecrow (not many of you would know matthew reilly, those who do will understnad the feeling)
Those puppets though, 1 is scary,2, coming at you while you pick a lock and had seen them only once before (texture pack screenshot) is scary...i wasted about 5 flashbombs just killing em...

MATTHEW REILLY ROCKS!!! (I'm going to marry Scarecrow since M.R. killed off what's her face.)
(Also; try D. Preston & L. Child. Equally awesome if not more so!:thumb: )
Apologies: didn't mean to derail this thread.

They're very killable.
Depending on the difficulty. As far as I know, enough of anything on the 3 lower difficulties will put them out. But I believe on Expert, the only thing that can kill the Puppets is Holy Water. Anything else, and when you get too close they'll jump up and bite your face off.
Not quite right, the puppets are vulnerable to other things too, like regular undead. It's just that conventional killing means like the dagger and broadhead arrows will only knock them down.

I have a feeling someone didn't like gant...
Back on topic...
Apart from the fact that it took me 4 fire arrows to take out one on hard...killable my arse.
Has anyone noticed that they've changed fire and gas arrows so they're affected by gravity? Or is it just my bad aim? I was shooting at a puppet across the hallway and the arrow just pissed it off cos it landed right near it, when I was sure I aimed at it...
Result: A very, very angry puppet...
Cardel on 5/4/2006 at 13:58
Yeah, all arrows are affected by gravity I think
and yes, I am pretty sure only holy water takes em out truly on expert.

tot warning: I liked Gant ok. But I liked Mother better! (& all the others - ESPECIALLY SCARECROW *sigh*)

I didn't even realize that fire/gas arrows weren't affected by gravity in TDP the first time through... I always thought my aim was way off...:tsktsk:
