Hello everyone, My name is Anti A. Danilevski and I'm making video games. Glad to meet you all!
We're making a - 3D space adventure, quest and ARPG, in hard sci-fi genre, with real-time combat and click-n-go controls. It's a mix of the spirits of such games as Star Control, Elite, and Space Rangers; this is simple gameplay comparable to Dark Orbit, with excellent, up-to-date three-dimensional graphics somehow comparable to Eve Online.
When I'm saying 'good graphics', I actually means this

We had to spend several months developing actual astronomical data and building a universe based on them. After playing it, you will know once and for all where the sun is located in our corner of the universe, which stars are closest to us, what their spectral classes are, planets... and much more.
Here how our starmap looks like:

And there is a screenshot from the game:

http://www.divinespace.org/images/scr2.jpgWhy I'm here, just registered and already posting this? There are two reasons:
First, I'm gathering feedback and opinions. This really helps me to make a better game and realize if something is wrong. Thanks to some people I've already made few corrections. I've just joined, but that doesn't mean I'll throw my post and disappear.
*Second, we are now on Kickstarter, and this is where I need your backing, if you want to play a game like this.
I'm not going to give you any links because I, myself, hate spam. Besides, I and have a really bad experience with it - at the beginning I was naive enough to create big beautiful threads with many pictures and videos, information... good read, quick bans.
Thank you for permission to post the link. Below is the indicator of our progress (uptaded twice per day):

Let's discuss our game and development!
Best wishes,

Would take a lot more to get a ban around here, I mean dethtoll.
Looks pretty interesting, definitely the sort of game I love, big fan of Elite style, and I like the hard-sci element you seem to have there, bring on the links!

As long as you're not going to inundate us with 50 different renders of asteroids or space barrels and don't try to sell us shoes you're more than welcome to add the link to your project. :)

Sounds interesting - does this relate just to the star map or other areas of the game?

Alas, only stars for now. Making real locations is barely possible because we know only about our system (and even this not precisely).
Thank you for allowing me to share the link, I'll do it in a beautiful way - it will be in a moment in main thread.
And I welcome comments and questions, sometimes they are truly brilliant!

Sounds interesting, looks pretty good graphically too.
I suppose the PC gamer in me is slightly concerned that the first platform is the iPad - where the method of input is stabbing or swiping a screen with a finger - so how does the control mechanism work and could you describe some actual gameplay?
Is the Single Player game more like Elite from a 3rd-person Eve Perspective, but with a storyline?

On PC, it's very easy and simple controls, we are testing it on PC mostly. Controls are fine and once you get used to it (30 seconds), you won't want to play with other controls ;) Actually, you can play even with one-key mouse.
And yes, very much so. Or Space Rangers in real-time and in serious style and physical-like flight.

So when you say "hard sci-fi", how hard are we talking here? I'm assuming (given that there are star systems) that you've got FTL/jumpgates/warp of somekind, but what about things like inertia, sound, etc?

Nope, no ftl/warps/jumps (though latest research proves that it's possible). We have a different system that invilvs Route Gates, calendar and something else that is a secret for now. ;)
We are working on a complicated flight system that involves inertia. Not 100% real (it's a game, remember), but it's based on newtonian physics.

Calendar? I have to say, I would really love to see a game tackle the size of space in a non-warpy/ftl fashion.
"I'm just heading off to Alpha Centauri. My great great great great great grandchildren will be back with news!"

You guessed only 50% :)
To see that happen, feel free to back us. We really need and appreciate it, and ♥ all our backers, doing nice updates and explain everything that is being asked. If it's not a secret that you will have to find yourself in game, of course!
