All great comments/observations and I agree with most.
Don’t forget having to open chests in 5 locations to gather a number of clues and then you need to be a PhD in nuclear physics to calculate the answer.
Rooms you need rope arrows to climb to and when you get there, no reward.
Missions where no matter how attentive you are, you could never figure out the next step without searching TTLG.
All that said, I have enjoyed almost every mission. Still the best game ever.

To be honest that is an extremely rare situation. Actually, if there is no obvious reward in the room where it was difficult to get in, that with great probability means that there is a hidden reward.
