I love how fast a quicksave is on the newer machines. I will hard save before going into experimental mode. For me, quicksaving is no more immersion-breaking than going through the inventory.

I never quicksaved my game, I always used the normal method every 20 or 15 minutes in game.
Sometimes I'd forget to save and get killed because of immersion's fault!

I used to quicksave a lot. More recently I do it less to add to the experience. Especially since I'm not playing as many new FMs as I'm replaying old ones that I know I like ... so I know what to do. So not quicksaving is a way to keep it a fresh experience, and make me watch what I'm doing.
I'll still quicksave more when it's a new FM and I don't know what's coming, and I'm not as worried about a live experience as I am about surviving and making it through it.

I used to quick save every minute or so, and eventually it developed to quick saving every few steps. I have horrible luck, and I always ended up quick saving right before my death... (like falling, getting smacked in the face, failing a mission objective by accident) so when I quick loaded, lo and behold I was falling, getting smacked in the face, or failing an objective, creating an endless loop mission failed page :laff:

Hard saves all the way. I never got used to quicksaving in any game.

It's not against tapping a key or key combo, so is it the sense that it's somehow less permanent and fragile? I was always fascinated at how fast it was back in 2001, and on a more modern system, the blink is cool. It's like "Really? That's it?"
I hard save when I've reached a milestone, but quicksave while noodling in an area.
