this same arugment was talked about when people asked will there be a thief 3,and it happened

i don't think thief 4 should have anything to do with garrett, or really, his timeperiod. like i said, it should be more futuristic/cyberpunk, but with all the old tropes of thief- the struggle of nature versus technology, balance versus chaos, etc.
arguably, it could be about a new group of keepers (though, obviously, their name would be different, as the keepers we know, with all their books and their glyphs, no longer exist) struggling to keep order in a brave new world.
to that end, i don't think it should necessarily have a 4 on the end, implying a sequel to the thief trilogy (and it IS a trilogy.) i think it's time for a new story set in the same universe.

Highly unlikely. In the grand scope of gamer types, Thief fans have a very small niche. There's just not a lucrative enough market for another Thief game.
If Eidos were to even
remotely consider making another Thief, they'd probably turn it into another shooter. Which, of course, would totally destroy the whole concept of Thief. :( (I mean, just look what they had to do to TDS in order to get it to sell to a broader market. :mad: )
Face it poison; you're in denial. But don't feel bad because we've all been there at one time or another. ;) Take a deep, cleansing breath an accept the fact that there will never be a Thief 4. Sad, but true.
