Truth be told, I'd sooner erase the mission from my hard drive than throw those little pieces of paper on the fire. I've been dromeding since 2002, I've been collecting for 40 years.

I get Theef runnin on EVRY machine and sys, down from 95 over 2000 to XP as well as vista and win7. can't currently test on vista or win7, though, for I use only xp, but know vista and win7 thru and thru, being pro pc supporter.
the fix manuals and infos are all on the net. I BET also YOUR grapho cardo is RUNNINGO with thiefo. CANT BELIEVE you modders GIVE UP SO QUICKLY: well.

once I phoned with a PROGRAMMER and he didn't even know WHERE on the friggin HD his FILES were. HUA.
files, settings. slimming down windoofus. knowing all reg hacks, getting drivers for xp, securing all, even with pro-tools, even for free, antivir etc, hehe :) and peerblock, by the way... .)))))))) and spybot s+d.
I'll look up the several important stuffs about the ddfix for thief, I HAD THAT PROB MANY MANY times. and could ALWAYS overcome it. with the help of the good theef net community.
I played thief first on a 486 with 16MB Ram, and 1 MB Videoram, it were some 66 Mhz. Some 2 GB Harddisk.
Thief 1 ran LIKE HELL. speedy. I had a small 15 inch compag monitor. and a cable mouse, white. cleaned, of course, meaning the wheels inside.
I'll never forget the excitement of first using a rope arrow to climb up a balcony to get inside my name comrade lord bafford's castle.
That same software runs fine on the newest systems with the correct appliance of the fixes. don't overlook that fix which lets thief run on ONE cpu ONLY on ANY multi-core system. otherwise, it can't run. Thief dislikes more than one cpu. so. googling that should be a trifle. thief cpu fix.
and beware and lo and behold that you can only use thief in some range of versions for your nvidia or ati graphic card. the driver shoudn't be too new, and not too mega old, either.
EDIT: I see you got trouble with the darkmod, which is based on the doom3-engine. basically, that is a totally different problem, but I gather it SHOULD all the same work on more graph cards than you might think it would.
I am one of those who reject to believe it if their card would be listed in a "not-supported" list, even shipped with any software. I would try and get it to run on many cards the devs said wouldn't work, hehe. that's me. world's best pc supporter. open your eyes people. people like ME are HATED in this injust and bizarrely upside-down world. I never ever had big success in pc support, so i play only music. the world is farther evry second from being worthy of me. and not the other way around. some people say i'm cynical. those who dislike me cuz of that are plain evil. evryone not becoming cynical in this cruel, unfair, miserable world is an idiot or a villain.
anyway, see you round in the next weeks, gonna look up your link, too. I would also like to mod for the darkmod engine, I hope it's not so complicated like dromed for thief 1 and 2. can anyone give me a start asskick for that, real thx.
