Help! I'm undertaking the review of Dockland, but i've come across two very serious problems.
One) Upon pulling the switches in the custom house, the objective doesn't trigger. I don't know if it will in the future, because of problem two.
Two) I can't get out of the hammer warehouse. All the gates are frobinert with no switches, and the way i came in can't get me back out.
Help!

You might need the thief gold version of the level, i never got it put on the dark project mission site. you can find it here.

To get out of the hammer warehouse, you have to exit the way you came in, you have to lean out over the river then climb onto the metal beam.
I ran out of concrete objects thats the reason you cant open the doors in the 4th warehouse

OK. Another problem. Where is warehouse 4?!?!?!!?!? I've looked around the whole maps so many times, and it's still hiding. I really want to finish this mission, as I think Andy's got it very wrong - this is silver hammer quality.

when i did it originally i numbered the warehouses
1 = baffords warehouse, its the first one you come to
2 = dockmasters warehouse, its the one next to baffords, the one with the patrolling hammers
3 = Ramirez warehouse is the one next to the dockmasters warehouse, the one with the grave items in the office on the second floor
these three are all on the south side of the river
4 = Hammers warehouse the one where the only way in and out is across a metal beam hanging over the river, in the next lock up from the crane leaning on the bridge.
The zombie under docks to warehouse two is a man wearing concrete boots, that was drowned in the river for not paying his taxes.
The machines near baffords warehouse pump the water off to somewhere strange, and thats why the river is so low. When the machines stop pumping the river returns to its original level, putting the zombie underwater.
To have left the river at full would have put an extra four megs into the level even with optimization, so the other option was to make the river shallow and add the explination in baffords office.
Its also set at night, rage pro owners, like me couldn't see anything, so i up't the ambient level so that we could see where we were going, or do stars come out at midday.
The reveiwer said I pinched alot of the ideas from other levels, does he mean thief 2's shipping and recieving, this level came out before thief 2 was released. As for the other docks level I looked through those level and tryed to not use any of the ideas from them in mine.

An interesting new mission popped up on Digi's site without any fanfare at all!
Hopefully somebody else has downloaded it too by now - found the blackjack yet?
Let me just explain for those who haven't got it. It's a Hammerite/Guard mission where you start with nothing because a) Your blackjack wore out

Okay! The plot's dodgy! And the level has its problems too, but it's not stopping me from playing it!

Yup, downloaded last night and first thing I had to do was take .mis file out of the zip and load in Dromed and add "ambient 20" to the level and reload the new miss16.mis back into the zip file to play it....I felt like I was Stevie Wonder instead of Garrett going thru there.
Also, I have to admit after reloading level, I spent a lot of time trying to figure out where the BJ is (still haven't found it) and I noticed in a couple of things....when I am like 12 feet away from the gates they can be opened - if I get closer they can't, and 1 I just walked straight thru it (prob was a porticulus and didn't change props for new size). Also, get used to using your lockpicks for long picks - and 1 I picked for at least 15 secs and still didn't open. Also, in the storage areas - items on top of boxes I couldn't get to....too high to climb up, and when I jump down from above - I can't get footing and slip off it.
I don't mean to be harsh here....it looks like a really cool level with a lot of places to go and a lot of things to steal, and I'm looking forward to playing it more - just wanted to posts these items in case any1 else had the same problems....
But, that said......I must say "Thanks for the Level........."

Hey, I found it, too! Trouble is I don't know where...I just happened to look at the objectives, the "find blackjack" objective was checked off. Hmmmmm....

'Twas brillig, and the slithy toves did gyre and gimble in the wabe: all mimsy were the borogroves, and the mome raths outgrabe.
Garrettwannabe on 15/2/2000 at 01:32
Well, another hour spent (total of 2) and no blackjack....hmmmm, guess you're showing me....Ive been quite a bit all over the level now....
Well, I'll just load miss16.mis up in Dromed and fix that also......spending more time in Dromed than I am in the level....wow, that's fun, right?
Garrettwannabe on 15/2/2000 at 04:34
No rope arrows either...weeellll, let's open Dromed again...I know I have to go across a chasm (been to all three whse's), but If I got me no rope arrows - it makes it kinda tough to get across....
hmmmm...wonder if it was beta tested?
