Now what am I supposed to do?
Tried going across the bridge, took out 2 hammers on the bridge. When I got to the other side, dead end. Or so it seems.
Tried going across the top of the bridge by going up the fallen crane arm. Once across, Ithere's noplace to jump to without getting killed. Dead end, or so it would seem.
Tried going across the electrical conduit box that crosses the river; the one where the red spider is. I ran, at a crouch, staying on the conduit box until I was past the spider. Now I'm in a Hammer warehouse, some hammers to take out, a few trinkets to pick up, and no way out of the place. At the far corner, there's a frobbable gate that moves back and forth, but won't let me through in either position. There also looks like some mine diggings but no mine, or tunnel, or door.
The dock area where there is no bridge to the north side doesn't appear to have a south side street entrance, and none of the dockside entrances can be accessed. A rope goes up to a beam that I can climb, jump to another beam, and access a doorway. But I can't open the doors. Picks don't work. There's a gate that won't open. If I make enough noise, guards inside will come after me. They come through the closed gate rather than opening it for me, if I jump in the water, they go back inside through the closed gate.
WTF Please.

Mr. Belboz,
Hey, we're making some progress. Using v 1.0 for now. Not sure I want to start over again, but loaded v 1.1 to see changes. Looks like all the lights came on. Much better to see stuff. Better for guards to see me too? Have to check light gem standing in apparent broad daylight to assess personal risk.
Made it to Custom House. Looked too far for a rope arrow jump, but it worked. Got "Special Key" to open gate, now I need another "Special Key" to open door right behind it. Back to square one.
But I finally got my sword back. Payback time!
Now there's some stuff about "Sally" the robotic kitchen girl. Does this have any bearing on the mission?
Oops, found out why Burricks have bad breath. Lends new meaning to the phrase, "Eat Shit and Die", eh?
Now I'm at "The Warehouse Switches". No's 1, & 2 have doors that close when switch is thrown. No. 3 is already closed, and won't reopen. Still can't get into warehouse No. 1, either. What am I missing? Warehouse No's 2, & 3 can be frobbed open in V 1.0, which I've already done.
Did you do "The Mages Area", by Mad God? The thread on that mission was 105 posts at last count. The poor guy finally wrote and posted a walkthrough that was 7 pages long (single spaced, typewritten), in pretty good English for someone who's Russian.
A few spoilers perhaps for the more "Academically Challenged" among us please.

Switches. 2 & 3 close when thrown. 1 is closed and won't open. No access to warehouse 1 at present.
Sally. "Dropped" in on her to say hello. Retracted the bridge, put a rope arrow on the edge of the far side, then extended the bridge again, and climbed down the rope. Female AI alive and well, but no help; and no way back up either. Rope too short. Found a fire arrow, heh. Extra long rope arrow, hidden ladder, or hidden exit would have been helpful.

to get in the warehouses read the plaques near each entrance, there are three of them, one to each warehouse. When you read one it frobs the plate in front of the switch in the custom house making it open.
Originally Sally was to die from a spider bite but I couldn't get her to play dead, so she's a robot who forgot to frob the bridge and fell off. The whole point is that seeing the cogs fall out of sally makes squire Thurmack go looney, he falls in love with the bog burrick, gets it an engagement rings, which points to a bit of loot somewhere near the bog burrick.
There's a walkthrough on the main thief site, for version 11, or version 1.1 as it says posted there, but it is actually version 11.0.
If anyone is still playing version 10, you should upgrade to version 11, as version 11 makes more sense than version 10 does.

I enjoyed the change.
Docklands proved itself to be quite an adventure for my thief tastes.
Although I have not yet completed the mission, might I congratulate the designer on a job well done (except, of course, those wretched porticulis doors that open from 30 feet away).
I especially enjoyed my first venture to the damedup river.

Hi, I'm playing Dockland gold. I'm stuck after unlocking the gate, how do you open the
other door, no keys that I have or lockpicking will do. Thanks
