Yeah, I didn't notice a huge change between how Garret looked when you did the Spy Orb trick in Thief 2: The Metal Age and how he ultimately ended up looking in Deadly Shadows. If I recall, though, he had on these full-arm lace-up things in T2 that looked pretty cool, but in DS he just had the leather bracers.

For a master thief, Garrett sure is a cheapass. :cheeky:

TDS took place in summer, T2 in winter, hence the wardrobe change hey we all do it.

Good point

I thought it was T1 that took place in winter, and T2 took place in like fall of somethin...

Reffering to the 3rd person view we have of Garret in Thief, I'd say his depiction is accurate. I have always seen him as a fairly short and wirey figure but with an elf like dexterity.

It's because he spent all his gold on that cosmetic surgery. Kind of silly for a guy that stays in the shadows by nature to worry about those crows feet. :weird:
Seriously mind, I agree with Dia; I always imagined Garrett to be a bit more rugged and well, scarred, to tell you the truth. The guy had his
eye ripped out for crying out loud. That's got to chafe.

In Thief 1 and 2 he just kept changing it was like he was getting a new face but T: DS has the best face IMO. The graphics probably affected my decision as well.

Err... I played T3 first... so I can't say what I've imagined him to be like...:erg:

I thought he looked a little thuggish in Thief 3. I mean, they made him look like a serial killer. Thief: Deadly Shadows...featuring Garrett, the lovable homicidal maniac.
I also was hoping for the cloak. Not necessarily for actual missions, but it would be cool to have it on when you're just wandering the city. The reason the guards attack him on sight probably has something to do with the armory he has strapped to his back.
I think a cloak would be very cool to wear around. It would cover up the weapons, and still let you be stealthy. Heck, the keepers, and Garrett, did it in previous games (if the cutscenes are any indication). Understandably, you'd take it off for the missions.
