Just sounds like typical pseudo-NIN stuff everyone's been using since 300 if you ask me.

Pray excuse my ignorance, but what's a briareos?

I see and hear nothing in the Robin Hood trailer that reminds me of Thief.
However, one scene from (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7Zwn0AXnII) this trailer for "Season of the Witch" really strikes me as Thief-like. Pause at the (
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7Zwn0AXnII#t=0m25s) 0:26 and 0:35 timestamps - that looks reminiscent of a Keeper library doesn't it?
But that's as far as the similarities go, and this movie looks terrible and much worse than the new Robin Hood.

Just to be a little more off-topic: The plague doctors you can see in that Witch trailer always reminded me of the Keeper Enforcers.

Dude, it totally does, because I thought the exact same thing about that last scene with the arrow and the music and I said damn that reminded me of Thief and was half way to making a thread about it before changing my mind. So the fact that someone else thought that means it's not that crazy of an idea.
Also scary fact: My first post in ThiefGen in about 6 years I think.
For the record, there are two trailers out, one which does not contain this quality. And by Thief like I simply mean that it made me think of Thief, be it that last intense arrow shot scene and a mix of the music a little (and Robin Hood being a thief helps too), I definitely thought of the original Thief trailer. Don't take offense as to the trailer as a whole being Thiefy because obviously it's not.

The Thief Intro is, in essence, a trailer. There will be similarities across most trailers dealing with an archer in olden times, but there is little the Intro and Movie share beyond an archer in olden times with a hard track and quick edits and other such generalities. In fact, the way to approach this would be to show side-by-side comparison frames so we can see what's similar that is not common to trailer-making, and what is not evoked emotion.

I agree with that, and throw in a 'dark and gritty' theme and it would be impossible to make a trailer whose style is nothing like the Thief intro.
And why all the obnoxious tags about briareos h?
