As for TDM, well...it will be open sourced in a few years. Don't have to worry about hard coded limits when you can modify the code. Same goes for our editor, Dark Radiant, which is already open source.

You were kidding in this post, right?
Midnight at Murkbell was pretty close to a supercity with a number of things packed into one massive city mission, and managed to make it feel like 3 or 4 missions in 1. And frobber used the same map for multiple missions. If this guy is motivated enough, he can try something like these examples. Or he can wait for TDM with loadzones and fewer limits to make a city as big as he wants.
Anyway, how many people from Zimbabwe do we have around here? I say encourage the guy. I'm all for the greatest geographical diversity among FMs we can get, and African builders are definitely underrepresented. Even if he's not really from there and that's a joke, it's still good to snap up new people interested in dromed. As long as it's sincere, if uninformed, motivation.

If he is serious and if he could pull that off, I wouldn't be the one to stop him. It's just the style of his post that makes me wonder, but maybe that's just how he usually talks.
I don't doubt that it's possible to cram in a lot in just one mission, but a whole campaign?
Anyway, I agree with you, demagogue: The more people who work with DromEd the better and it's always fun to have people here from all over the world. It's like an international syndicate of taffers.

Agreed. The FM community is vastly overdue for some sort of affirmative action-type program, if you ask me ;)

has been serious. If not, then I suggest that you seek the advice of a professional (and I don't mean a DromEd professional...).
Don't you get it.
I said I have a fantasy, but Ive just been informed by Digi that it can't be done.
Enough of this.
Anyways now I'm working on a mission set in thief 1
It will include a backstreet leading into a manor with multiple tiers.
kinda like Ramirez manor as well as lord baff.

Yes, When the Dark Mod comes out I am going to first Ghost it until IL beat the game then I will play madman style, then(using the editor) I am going to go all out on the megacity like I stated earlier.

When TDM is released, there will be no mission to play... it's just a mod (set of resources) and an editor. Once they release it, the DM team is planning on starting on a mission or campaign of their own.
AbYsMaL_-_WaRT on 8/11/2007 at 02:07
When I saw the video that was recently released I was under the impression there was a campaign.
Looks awesome eh.
News on the site says"It is a WIP movie from Dram's massive map. This will be one of the maps released with the TDM toolkit"

Agreed, it looks awesome. The movies we've seen are from beta maps. Now some of them may be released in short order after the Mod, I don't know. Dram? Fidcal?

So basically we get the mission from the vid that was just released with the mod.
I can't wait
