When TDM is released, there will be no mission to play... it's just a mod (set of resources) and an editor.
I believe they intend to include a few maps with the first release, but not a campaign per se. I also don't think that Dram's mission is going to be the only one included.

Yes, Dark Mod will be released with a few initial maps that the beta-mappers will finish before release time. I know of at least one that is nearly done now! I'm guessing there will be half a dozen or more, possibly up to a dozen (though not connected in any way)

Well, that's not entirely true. Of course we will have maps. After all, that's the point of trying to coax dromeders over to us, to do this. We have already several good betamappers, which created erally awesome maps, and some of the are REALLY huge. :) So there will be something to play. And the more people start to editing right now, the more maps will be available by the time we release. ;)

I'm afraid I don't have anything to show.:(
Awhile back I was making a replica to the shalebrige cradle, looked VERY promising but I had to reinstall windows onto my comp. and I lost everything.
I was really pissed and went into a thief depression and stopped coming to the forums, but now I'm finally back..:laff: I say that as if I was famous or something.
Yes but now I back and I believe..Know I can do this.
I know that me going into thief depression symbolizes me not ever finishing but trust me I WILL PREVAIL, like that song, or is it survive?
Dammit Taffer, THATS the spirit, fight on!:thumb:

As my good friend themetalian would say (and me as well):
May the gods of metal guide your project to fruition.

Yep, there will be several maps that will come with the release. To name a few - Bonehoard (by Greebo and Angua), Panova City (by JDude), a city map (by Squill - no name atm afaik), Thief's den (by Fidcal), Blackheart Manor (by me), and others. sorry if I've forgotten any btw, these are just off the top of my head.
Don't worry, there will be at least 14 hours worth of play with the maps released with 1.0 :) That of course assumes playing like a thief ;)
Last week when i played through Bonehoard it took me approximately 4 hours and even then I had not explored everything.
When playing through my own I took 3 hours and was not done either.

Hello Dram,
You should become a full time advertiser because you made that game seem Uber Awesome.
You could probably sell foot funk to anyone.

Show us your portfolio, wart.
FiifGerett - monetary donations to eidos in the form of purchases of Thief Deadly Shadows were the only way to petition for the development of a Thief 4. The required number of purchases came short, somewhere in the ballpark of several hundred thousand short, in order to successfully convince eidos that Thief 4 should be.
You sure about that? Because while nothing ever game of it, Eidos said they were planning sequels to (

Digital Nightfall on 11/11/2007 at 00:49
Yes, I am sure about that.

Plus that comment was made over 3 years ago by someone who already didn't work for Eidos anymore at the time. :erg:
