d3 engine is poorly optimized by itself
Now you've got access to the source code, feel free to point out your optimisations.

Doom 3 ran at consistent 55-60 FPS at Ultra 1280x1024 with 16xAF and 4xAA on my old 7900 GTX system and it was pretty much the same for TDM the brief time I tried it on my old system before the upgrade.. I have seen your other posts and you really, really dislike iD Software, so your conclusion doesn't exactly come as a surprise.
In his defence, TDM runs much, much more slowly than vanilla D3.

No kidding?

I remember somebody suggesting using pre-recorded video clips on window surfaces in the game to simulate the shadows of guards moving around outside. That is an interesting idea, but an ugly, ugly hack. It would make missions much larger in MB and RAM usage as well.

animated textures ? it not the hack and it doesnt eat much RAM, but such thing will look ugly anyway

Serious question: Has anyone seen a good looking outdoor environment with sunlight in the Doom 3 engine? Maybe you have screenshots or a video example?
I remember the Wolfenstein 2009 Farm mission being open and bright.

TDM is laggy because d3 engine is shit engine, not because of my retarded hardware (4gb Ram 512 Vram GeForce GTS250 ect)
This is a pretty ignorant post. Despite certain decisions made during its development that
I would call poor decisions, Tech 4 was one of the most technologically advanced, performant and, perhaps more importantly, stable game engines available when Doom 3 was released. Keep in mind that, although hardware and APIs have seen various enhancements in the past seven years, Tech 4 has not. CryEngine 3, on the other hand, has been able to leverage all of these advancements made in that time frame and has been specifically tuned quite specifically for current and relatively current GPUs. It should come as no surprise to anyone the
slightest bit familiar with real-time rendering that it's able to deliver greater image fidelity at a higher level of performance than Tech 3.
The first wave of rendering optimization efforts should be fairly simple, quick and result in a substantial performance payoff on modern hardware.

Yep. Id technology has always been very stable. I never have strange crashes during gameplay and I never get stuck in objects or fall through floors etc.
The Unreal engine on the other hand... remember what Unreal was like? I used to exploit funny glitches like jumping on books to kill myself and standing on invisible surfaces over lava. Then I would see other players follow me but go to far and fall in to said lava... muhahahaha IIRC your client would even crash sometimes if you opened the console too much. There were also many areas where you could hide inside walls.
